Frequently Asked Questions
We’re still shopping around, but we’re very interested in your services. Will you hold our date until we can come to a decision?
I will not hold your date without a signed contract and deposit. Everything is first come, first serve. Don’t waste any time on booking your photographer! Dates book fast!
Where are you located?
I am located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I work out of my home… So, in the event you would like to meet, we will more than likely be grabbing a cup of tea somewhere!
Do you travel?
Yes! Travel expenses will be added on to the base price of the package if the location is any more than 50 miles away. Expenses include airfare/gas, lodging, and food. Please inquire to get a specific quote!
What if I opt not to do an engagement session? Will we get a chance to meet before the wedding?
Yes! 3-4 weeks before the wedding we will set up a time to get together to talk about all the specifics.
Do you do formal poses?
Yes. Although, I don’t like to spend more than 20-30 minutes on posed family pictures. I like to limit my number of family poses to 15. This allows me to spend more time on the unique style of photography you see on my website and the style you are paying for. Please talk this issue over with your family. If you and your family are wanting traditional style photos, I may not be the photographer for you.
What if our wedding is falling a little behind on time?
I will stay at your wedding until I have photographed everything you have asked of me, but you will receive a bill in the mail if I have stayed longer than was outlined in your contract.
Do you sell the rights to your photographs?
All packages include a CD of all edited images for you to print yourself. You can order images from me, but it is not required. I hold the right to use any photography for advertising purposes.
How long will it take to get our images?
I will try to get your photos done 4-6 weeks from your wedding date. Things come up though and I can’t always guarantee this.
